PopJar for a business that sells products

Your product is ready. Now it needs a post, and so does the next one.

You make things, or you pick the things worth selling, and you do most of it yourself. The product is finished and photographed, and the post is the step that keeps slipping. PopJar turns a photo of the product, as it really is, into a finished post, built from how you talk, so what you made this week does not sit in a drafts folder.

Your week, and where the post goes missing

Monday you list three new things. Tuesday is packing orders and a run to the post office. Wednesday a batch comes out of the kiln, or the new line arrives in boxes. By the weekend you have photos of everything and a caption for none of it, because the caption is the part you dread.

You tried a tool that wrote about products you do not make and said your handmade mugs were in stock in sizes you do not sell. You spent longer fixing its words than it would have taken to write your own. So you closed it, and the photos stayed in the camera roll.

Step by step

What you hand PopJar, and what comes back

  1. You send

A photo of the product in your hands or on your table, as it really is.

    PopJar makes

A finished post with your photo, a first line about the problem it solves or the person it is for, and one clear next step: where to order it or pick it up. The words go on the picture, in your colors, and you see exactly how it looks before you say yes. Then you post it.

  2. You send

A sentence or a voice note: what it is, what it is made of, who buys it, what it costs if you want the price said.

    PopJar makes

PopJar writes it back to you first so you can see it understood. Then it makes the post from what you said, and nothing you did not say. A price appears only if you gave it.

  3. You send

A short clip of the product being made, packed or used.

    PopJar makes

A short video built from your own footage, with your words on screen so it works with the sound off. Nothing stock, and never a picture of a product that is not yours.

Then you save the picture, copy the words, and post it yourself. PopJar does not post anything for you today; scheduled posting is being built and is not switched on yet.

The difference

What PopJar learns about you and your work

A tool that does not know your shop writes about products you do not offer, in sizes you do not carry, with a sale you never ran. PopJar shows you every line it learned, you fix any that are wrong, and every post is built from those lines and your photos. That is the difference between a post about your product and a post about any product.

  • Your shop name and what you actually sell, read from your website or your shop page. No website needed.
  • Where you sell: your shop's address, pickup, local delivery, or online and where you ship to. A product sold online is not a town, and PopJar does not treat it like one.
  • Your colors and your logo, so every post looks like your shop.
  • How you talk about what you make: plain and proud, or warm and chatty. PopJar reads it from your own words.
  • Your real product photos. PopJar works from them and never swaps in a stock picture.
  • Where to send people: your shop link, your order page or your pickup details.
  • You check each line and fix anything that is wrong, in plain words.

This month

Six posts you could make this month

Plain ideas, not PopJar’s writing. Each one starts with something you already have on your phone.

  1. The product you are proudest of, in your hands, with the one thing that makes it yours.
  2. A new arrival or a fresh batch, and the day it is ready to order.
  3. How one of your products is made, from the first step to the finished thing.
  4. The question people ask most before they buy, answered in two lines.
  5. A plain post about where to pick up, how you ship, and the last day to order for a holiday.
  6. The one that is almost gone, with how many are left if you want to say.

Questions shop owners and makers ask

I make everything and pack every order myself. When would I post?

Send the product photo you already took. PopJar makes the post. You read it, say yes, and post it. The writing and the picture are its work, not yours.

Will it write about things I do not sell?

No. PopJar learns what you sell from your shop or your listings and shows you the list before it writes anything. You fix any line that is wrong, and every post is built from what is left.

Will it make up a price, a sale or a review?

PopJar is built not to make things up. It will not write a price, a sale, a stock count or a review it did not get from you. If it cannot say something, it tells you and asks for the real thing.

I sell online only. Does PopJar still fit?

Yes. Where you sell can be a shop, a market stall, a pickup spot or your online store and where you ship to. PopJar learns which it is from your page, you can fix it, and it does not treat an online shop as a town.

Does PopJar post it for me?

Not today. Once you approve a post, you save the picture, copy the words, and post it to Facebook, Instagram or Google Business yourself. Scheduled posting is being built and is not switched on yet.

Will this bring me more orders?

PopJar does not promise that. PopJar is building reports on what a post brings in. They are not switched on yet. Until they are, PopJar shows you nothing rather than a guess.
